TAMCO stands for Tanzanian Muslim Community whose headquarters is in Maryland where it originates and is administered solely on a voluntary basis. Despite the fact that TAMCO caters for the needs of Tanzanian Community, its doors are open to every Muslim without discriminations or regard to their nationality, place of origin, gender or race.

This web site is meant to facilitate easy communication for members of the community and also to provide a forum whereby we can learn more about our religion, exchange Islamic knowledge and self encourage ourselves and our families to live an Islamic life, Insha Allah.

As you take a tour in our web site, you will find out some of the pages are written in Swahili language. Swahili is Tanzanian first language. This will help us to communicate more effectively and reach out those who do not understand English.
